Ipod Shuffle Reset Vista

iPod Shuffle problems?

I have a second gen iPod Shuffle and it won’t let me put songs on it. I have had it for about a year, and when I connect it, a windows message pops up asking if I want to scan and fix the ipod, but then when I go to scan it, it can’t find the program it needs. It is also not holding a charge. I tried resetting it and everything, but now I have no songs on my iPod and it’s not working at all. I also have Vista and am using a different iPod usb as I lost the original.

There could be a couple reasons for this problem:
1. Do you have iTUNEs? if not, get it. this is very important seeing that iPods only work with iTUnes
2. If you DO have iTunes, make sure you press autofill. Do not let it jsut do it for you. It will delete a lot of the songs you probably like.
*TIP*
You should probably not do anything with the window that pops open. Just go directly to iTunes.

As a fellow sec. generation iPod user, i feel your pain…good luck! email me if this does not work
