I got my iPod touch wet & now the sound is acting weird, is it permanently broken?
I spilled make-up remover on it so i washed it with water because I was in a rush (stupid). When I plugged in headphones again, the sound would go up and down without me touching anything, even if the screen was off. Is it because it’s still wet inside, or is it permanently broken? I’ve had it for almost 2 years and it’s gotten wet before.
Well if the headphone jack was still wet when you plugged it in, that’s your problem.
Turn it off and leave it in a small box/bag of rice for a while. Maybe overnight or for a day. Not 10 minutes, but rather a while. Just leave it in a box/bag of rice now and take it out in the morning unless you want to keep it in the rice for longer.
