Speck CandyShell iPhone 4 Review
The organization whom are referred to as Speck, have a certain model I have just examined is the Speck “Candyshell” for the iPhone 4. Welcome to my Speck Candyshell iPhone 4 Review.
While some may claim that Speck does not have a reputation of building cases with an emphasis on preventing actual damage to your iPhone 4, this case shows Speck in a new light. Instead of developing a case seen as cosmetically beautiful as some may put it, this case Displays an equal balance between what would be fashionable, but has enough qualityto protect your investment, your iPhone 4. Before we started our Speck CandyShell iPhone review, our hopes were not the greatest for this case.
Upon decided to review an iPhone 4 case, the first thing in which we look at is the materials in which it is fashioned with. The “Speck CandyShell iPhone 4 case” is crafted in materials from silicone to hard plastic (TPE & Polycarbonate as quoted from the manufacturer). The Speck Candyshell Case covers the back and 4 sides of the phone, with the corners and sides being insulated with the rubber like material and the back and center covered with hard plastics. In truth the one thing we didn’t't care all that much for, was the ultra tight fit of the casing. Now this is not to say a tight fit is bad, but when you have your case installed correctly on your iPhone 4, it hard to remove. Obviously there are different opinions on this depending on how you view it. As a positive you know the phone is very secure against water and moisture damage, but if you happen to own multiple cases, this most likely would not be a case you enjoy if you like to remove and case your case frequently. During our Speck CandyShell iPhone 4 review, this is what we found to be the biggest problem with the case.
However, the “Speck Candyshell iPhone 4 case” comes with specific instructions on removal technique should you desire. While we suggest against it, as it can be a little frustrating we do know some individuals will not be detoured by something as small as that. We do not mean to overly imply that the casing cannot be removed, rather that it is much more difficult than most cases we have come across. That being said, the snug fit ensures great defense against a dropped iPhone 4 or many additional types of damage it may incur. The insulating rubber inside of the casing lends added shock support to make sure that your screen or even entire iPhone 4 does not break or crack if dropped. When we performed our Speck CandyShell iPhone 4 Review, we took one of our test iPhone 4′s and dropped it from 6 feet approximately 5 times. The case no damage and the iPhone functioned normally and had no damage or performance issues. Due to this, we feel this case is some of the best protection for iPhone 4 available.
One complaint you can expect to hear with casing is the way it covers buttons and ports which are found on the iPhone 4. Not with the Speck Candyshell iphone 4 case.The Speck Candyshell is created in such a way that all ports and buttons match up perfectly with the case, as well as the 3.5mm jack and mute slider provide dynamic accessibility which in truth many cases can’t deliver. The buttons as well are covered with this special rubber, but were not made to be bulky so that the user can actually feel the buttons depress normally and without force. Finally but not least when we were completing our Speck Candyshell iPhone 4 review, we must add the corners all come with rubber bumpers. Many know this is an important feature to defend the case itself from wear and tear.
So in conclusion to our Speck Candyshell iPhone 4 review, we highly recommend this product. I don’t always enjoy the cases we sample and in due time you will see some of my negative reviews as well.
